Research interests

My PhD work within the Theoretical Ecology Group will focus on how seasonal temperature availability and variation influence bioenergetic trade-offs through the year, and how this may affect gonad maturation and spawning time in cod and herring populations.

My research interests include behavioral and evolutionary ecology, as well as marine systems.

During my MSc program at Wageningen University & Research, I studied the phylogeny and biogeography of a frog family, the effect of glacier retreat on benthic community structure in a high Arctic fjord, and the interplay between courtship dance display and vocalization as a predictor of hybridization in a Neotropical bird family (see My Publications tab).

In my free time, I like camping, running, and I'm currently learning Norwegian. I'm always happy to have a chat over a cup of coffee!
