Supervisors: Mikko Heino, Christian Jørgensen, Øyvind Fisken and Stein Ivar Steinshamn

My research topic involves primary an interdisciplinary approach to study the bioeconomic effects of fisheries induced evolution on fish stocks. The work is part of the project "Socio-economic effects of fisheries-induced evolution".

Biography

I obtained my master's degree in biology with major in zoology at the University of Bern, Switzerland, in 2007. My main field was thereby population genetics and my master thesis was about the impact of alternative splicing on the recent human genome evolution. After finishing my studies I gained some practical experience in a completely different field while I was working one year at the bank PostFinance in the area of money laundering detection and prevention.
